Let’s start by mentioning the new-look website. When I released Version 2 of Zardos Demon, I was very happy with the work that I had put in to get it released. But after the first week of having the new website I started to have my doubts as to whether the site was actually good enough for my audience. In the end I decided that I had made the website too big and way too difficult to manage so I would need to quickly come up with a solution to fix that problem. The answer was to create a one-page portfolio to show everything in one place. For me, it is better to use this type of site because it looks more like a gallery and it is also much easier to manage. While there are very creative one-page portfolios out there, I have decided on something simple so that I can focus more on the content that is displayed on the site.

Speaking of content. I had great plans when I released Version 2 to come up with all sorts of free downloads and artwork. Unfortunately, due to some very minor health problems, I am unable to spend too much time working on new creations. Over the past five years I have devoted almost all of my free time to my website and the content associated with it. At the moment my body is nagging at me to take a break for a while and I think after the nine years that I have been active on the net, five of which I have been heavily involved with volunteering my services to the benefit of others, I am due for a long rest. While there will be less new content from me for now I will continue to work with current clients as much as I am able to.

Now to the blog. As you can see, it is up and running. WordPress is something new for me to get used to as it is much different to Joomla! but that is to be expected. I still have the articles that I published on the Joomla! website so if there are any requests, I shall transfer them to WordPress. Otherwise I am starting fresh. Like the portfolio, the blog will not have too much new content for a while but I aim to have some tutorials created throughout 2012.

With the restructure of the website, I have decided to use my other social media accounts to their full advantage. If there are free downloads available (like the V8 or TdF icons) visit my DeviantArt account. New videos (like tutorials) will be posted on YouTube and will most likely be added to the blog as well. Quick updates will be posted on the Facebook page while major articles like this one will be added to the blog. So keep an eye on all these places if you want to keep up-to-date with what I’m up to.
